A NEW TRADER IS BORNED...

6th October 2009 - Tuesday @ 11.26pm... @ Pantai Hospital, Ayer Keroh, Melaka...

I have a new born baby-boy after almost 7 hours battling (my spouse of course) in the labor room. Thanks to Dr Nor Hanisah and all the mid-wives who have been very very supportive in assisting my wife's natural delivery process... I knew it's not easy as the Dr had almost decided to carry her to the OT room for operation, but she waited instead... thanks again Doc...

It was an unforgettable experience for sure as for any father to see the live show of how a kid is brought out to this world. No wonder whenever you had a fight with your parents they would somehow mentioned that - "if only you knew how hard it was to deliver you..." - then you would probably think twice everytime you feel like hurting their feelings.

Yet to name him to this day but a good name shall follow... It's been more than 5 years waiting for this precious addition to my family and I shall do whatever it takes to ensure that he'd get all the things he deserves as my son...

When it comes to family, I knew nothing else matters as no money in this world could replace them, the one that you love most...

FORGIVE AND FORGET...

Yesterday I received a blatant attack out of nowhere since the message is put on the shoutit box rather than sending on a personal email. I have no idea how many people have read it but in order to limit the damage made by such message, I had no choice but to disable that utility until I am comfortable to put it back.

So, to whoever wrote that yesterday (ie k.i.s), feel free to email me if you have the guts since it could be anybody out there. In my personal view, she must be (oh yes, it's a she...) a completely thoughtless person who is very unlikely to be sincere.

By the way it's an old story my dear... and my question is, have you check the both sides of the story? Do you know that your 'adik' is a damn slut sleeping with her ex as well? Check it out...

Anyway, from a 'rational thinking' point of view, the message is very well taken though and... should I say thank you?

Let's step back for a while and take this subject on a broader basis.

Perfections and idealisms are something that everyone is seeking in their life, starting from their personal gains, love life and up to their entire life achievements. The thing is, none of us would ever be perfect.

If life is so perfect, then we would miss all the exciting parts of working hard and smart.

But the good thing is, we do have the power to make our own choices. And it is these choices that would determine the outcomes of how do we live on this planet earth before we die.

I knew by heart that we all do make mistakes once in a while, either intentionally or unintentionally. We are homo-sapient remember? We are not angels who can work things out perfectly all the time.

So the point here, whenever we are challenged with a situation that would take us out of our comfort zones, we must stand up and make our stance on the situation.

What do I get if I do this? and what do I get if I do that?

Come on... I am a professional. No matter how bad or how true the claim is, I personally have no choice but to make my own judgment base on the information that I have. A harsh decision that is based on what i heard rather than what I see is something that I personally do not prefer to take.

So, regardless of how bad it may seem to you or certain people's perception, the best thing to do on my personal basis is just to forgive and forget. Hopefully it won't happen again.

The key here is - no one's perfect. And if we intend to resolve any unwanted situation, first you must be honest with your statement by not trying to undermine someone's pride and credibility. Writing such thing on the shoutit box in the first place is a clear sign that the informer herself is a thoughtless s.o.b...

Yeah it could be true or worse than I know but I am not some-kind of jackass who would blindly believe what I heard or read ok.

On the opposite perspective, anyone could throw such a statement without us knowing what's the intend behind. So, just think about it...

Or perhaps, it would be much easier if you can just take it this way... just in case if I am a handicapped victim here who has the wrong information and confession in hand.

Anyone could lie to anyone else, but surely we can't lie to ourselves and our own Creator... coz how far do you think can anyone go by lying? Sooner or later the truth will prevail. Ok? Simple and easy... no migraines involved.

That is all that I can say in answering such a public but personal attack... and it is my choice to say that...

Last but not least, Selamat Hari Raya & Maaf Zahir Batin... ikhlas dari sudut hati yang suci dan murni...

Maafkan jika ada tersilap atau terkasar bahasa ye...

Yg Ikhlas

TOOK FOR GRANTED...

Yesterday, my spouse and I together with our 5 year old daughter went to The Pavillion, KL just to have our dinner at Tony Roma's. Of course we had some other business as well but since we've been hearing some of our colleagues talking about the taste of the steaks and lamb ribs over there, we decided to try it before travelling back to Melaka.

Everything went smooth and yes, we had a splendid dinner! Buurrrpppp...

Anyway, that's not the point here. The point is, right after we had our dinner, it was 9.30pm already and we decided to head back to our car. I paid the parking ticket after 5 minutes que, and later went out at B1 level where we thought we parked our car was.

To our surprise, we couldn't find it. We thought we remember the concrete pole's marking, if not mistaken it was E55. My wife did take the photo when we arrived but her hp battery was totally kaput so we can't really be sure with ourselves.

We spent almost 45 minutes looking around, went down to B2 and B3 level as well with my thumb pressing the alarm button continuously, just to alert us in case the car is within our vicinity.

Coming back to B1 level, still to no avail. I put up my white flag and start looking for security personnel to help us. We were lucky though as the moment we thought to look for help, a guard riding a golf buggy with 6 seaters came around.

He smiled to us gently and asked "Encik, cari kereta tak jumpa ke?". We smiled back and together said YES YES YES... It was a big relief. We don't have to walk at least and surely we will find our car, as long as it's there. Yeah surely I had this nasty thought as well thinking that our car could have been stolen.

Anyway, the security guy did ask for my parking ticket and he immediately identified our entry gate. To make things short, we were actually coming in from Level 2 and parked our car at Level 01, intead of B1. We missed by 2 floors and I just don't know how.

Still, it took us 15 minutes to find the exact location of our car with that buggy. Imagined if we had to walk, it could have been till the next morning. Phewww... what a relief.

Right after we settled down and said a big thanks to that 'pakcik' with some token of appreciation, we drove back and repaid the parking ticket since we were clearly exceeding that 15 minutes limit.

At that time, we saw a group of family doing exactly the same thing we did an hour ago with the father holding tight his car key in his right hand. We smiled (and felt pity too) but we knew that this could be common to those who came over to this place occasionally.

Last time this happened was 10 years ago at KLCC and never thought it could happen again. By the way, the concrete pole marking was E52 instead of E55.

Lesson learned : Never took things for granted. Always remember where you park your car or you might as well spent hours looking for it.

A TRIP TO REMEMBER...

It was Thursday evening, 8th of March 2007. I rented a car from Enterprise right after my spouse and 3 year old daughter (at that time) landed in Heathrow at 5pm that evening. Winter was almost over but still the weather was pretty cold (8 deg C) for us.

I managed to get a nice Volkswagen TDI 1.8 Compact as we had a plan to visit one of the famous football club in the world, Manchester United on the following day. We had only 3 days to spend together (before my business trip to Holland) so every single second that we had need to be fully utilised. To tell the truth, I had no idea on how to be there, moreover driving on my own.

The only confidence that I had was due to the steering wheel located on the right hand side of the car.

Nevertheless, with the help of my fellow colleague in providing me with a mapbook of UK, I told myself it is now or never. Why not give it a shot. As long I don't break any traffic rules, I should be ok.

That Friday morning, we started our journey as early as 7am after having some light snacks as our breakfast. No GPS. The only GPS was my spouse giving me the direction base on her understanding on the maps. We departed from Reading and driving from one highway to another. We were on M1, M4, M40 and all sorts of M that represents Motorways in UK. Of course I couldn't remember all.

The best thing of all, after almost 2 hours of driving, we later saw a signboard stating that Reading was 5 miles away from there. I couldn't believe it. 2 hours of driving and we were right back to where we started.

To cut it short, I made a turn later on and hold the maps on my own, studying every possible way to get me back to Manchester. My spouse was fired on the spot and she was demoted from reading the map to reading the signboards only.. haha, just kidding. I still need her to read the map as my focus was on the road.

All in all, it was a nice journey though, and finally we managed to be at Old Trafford 5 minutes before the last stadium tour, around 4pm. We were so excited and managed to take a number of photos around the Theatre of Dreams especially in the Museums, Players Room and the Dugouts. Though tired, it was definitely a trip to remember...
